January 22, 2002 - Jack Black as "The Rude Houseguest"

Sadly, I didn't get a chance to write down the details of this dream despite remembering everything VIVIDLY when I woke up. Down to the color of his clothes. And since it's been over a week since I had this dream, I can only remember portions of it.

We're at my parent's house, only they are out of town. For some reason Jack Black has come to my house, and has brought several unruly friends. I'm freaking out because he has complete disregard for my parent's belongings, and they are due home any hour.

At some point I find Jack in the kitchen, with sandwich meat on his head, and his crooning songs to me as I try to work up the anger to yell at him. But I can't, because the site of him singing with sandwich meat on his head is just too much to bear.

I leave the kitchen and race upstairs to my old bedroom. I look out the window and there are my parents pulling up the driveway! OH NO!

I race downstairs and meet them at the front door.

"What's going on?" my father asks me as a few of Jack's friends run past them out of the house.

"Uh, a small party, Dad."

"Well are you going to introduce us?"

I look behind me, and there is sandwich-head Jack, grinning like a fool. With his characteristic charm he approaches my father with an outstretched hand.

"Nice to meet you," Jack says. "Jane has told me a lot about you."

My father tentatively introduces my mother, who is in shock and doesn't quite know how to respond.

Jack gathers her in a huge greasy hug and says, "How ya doin', Mom?" before kissing her on the cheek.

My dad simply laughs and begins to take his luggage upstairs, while Jack escorts my mother back into the kitchen, where he makes her a cup of hot tea.
